I've gone global!!

Ok, well maybe not exactly "global" but I have been informed that my reading audience is growing. Thank you to all who have been reading and enjoying my entries, your approval acts as a great motivator in writing more. Please don't be shy to leave your comments - I might even be able to reply to you, time permitting :) I am thrilled to hear that people onboard ship have taken the time to read my ramblings and have even passed the site on to friends and family. To those of you, like MS Stewart's Dad, a sailor to the fullest degree (he operates a tug out on the East Coast, where the seas are a bit rougher), I have been encouraging my fellow Stokers to start their own Blogs to keep in touch with loved ones. But until they go for it, I'll try to pass on their antics and well wishes as I experience them. Please stay tuned for my recap on Goa, India and (hopefully) some photos too. Love and Miss you all!

Hi Corrina;
I could probably give your Mom a run for her money as your biggest fan !!! We log on to your Blog at least once a day. I enjoy all your entries but crossing the line was of special interest. My Grandfather crossed the line a number of times in the big old sailing vessels. As a young boy I use to sit for hours and listen to him tell stories of his sea voyages.. That was John Thomas Stewart and I think Your own Stokerstew is the only one of his decendents to go globe sailing. Remembrance day is just around the corner. Its special for me because its also my birthday. Our Remembrance Day Service was on sunday. As I stood in our church during the minute of silence my thoughts travelled far across the waves to the HMCS Ottawa. We pray that you will complete your mission and return to us safely. We wish you fair winds and following seas. Keep up the good work and be safe.
Fondest Regards.
Stokerstew's Dad
